Digital Assets

The term “digital assets” is very broad and can refer to cryptocurrencies, assets created digitally or digital representations of physical assets.

Digital assets and blockchain are a nascent part of the ecosystem and the use of blockchain creates enormous possibilities to disrupt financial services – in particular firms who play an intermediary role in the value chain. This will include corporate finance advisers, clearing and custody banks and correspondent banking for example.

Our view is that we are looking at the future of finance today and when we look back into the past in the year 2030, today’s market will look old fashioned.
